"I have always had a passion for animals. From the moment I met my first pet at age 5 - a puppy named Smurf - I knew that I wanted to spend my time caring for dogs. In 2018 I started Going Mutts, and my lifelong dream became a reality. Going Mutts was founded with the idea that every pup is deserving of the love, care, attention and socialization needed to thrive.
Prior to founding Going Mutts, I actively volunteered with the Humane Society helping foster dogs either make weight, work on training, take a break from the shelter, receive socialization, and in many cases all of the above. Seeing the progress that these pups made with a little bit of love solidified my desire to have a career that allowed me to make a difference in the lives of dogs.
Nothing brings me more joy than filling my days with wagging tails and slobbery pup kisses. I treat every dog as if it were my own and am committed to keeping the dogs in my care safe at all times. This is why I am certified in Pet First Aid, fully licensed and insured, regularly attend courses on dog behaviour, psychology and training, and stay up to date on industry literature. I only use force free training methods and tailor every walk to meet the unique needs of each pup.
Since launching Going Mutts, my extended family has grown in leaps and bounds. I now count myself lucky to work with some truly exceptional pups and their people! When I'm not walking dogs, you can find me with my Fox Red Lab, Scottie, cruising around all of the wonderful trails and neighbourhoods that the city has to offer.
Going Mutts is always looking to grow our family, and we'd love for you to join our pack!"
